The hotel tradition in our family dates back to 1898. The cosy Hotel Continental Barcelona in a semi-classical English style is currently being refurbished and extended. This is not a luxury hotel but our aim is to ensure that guests feel right at home in a warm, friendly atmosphere. To achieve this, one of our most highly valued services is the snack buffet, where guests can eat and drink, free of charge, at any time of the day or night, 24 hours a day. The hotel is set on Barcelona’s world-famous boulevard of Las Ramblas, just off the lively Plaça Catalunya. Around here you will find the city’s most popular shopping streets and many of its main tourist attractions, including the Gothic District. Many public transport links run nearby, allowing you to visit anywhere in this capital of culture .

The hotel Continental Barcelona is located in La Rambla 138, at the top of Las Ramblas, near Plaça Catalunya. The closest Metro station is Catalunya (lines 1 and 3) and the train station is Plaça de Catalunya, where the trains coming from the airport stop. It is also very close to the Aerobus bus stop (the Aerobus is a shuttle bus between the airport and Plaça de Catalunya).

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 5 years stay free of charge for extra beds. All children from 5 to 12 years are charged EUR 20.00 per night and person for extra beds. One child under 3 years stays free of charge in a baby cot. One older child or adult is charged EUR 40.00 per night and person in an extra bed. Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: 7 % VAT is included. Service charge is not applicable. City/tourist tax is not applicable. Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge. Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is not included, breakfast menu is available and costs vary.
